Lana Lang is a fictional character on the television series Smallville. She has been a series regular since the pilot episode , and has been played continuously by Kristin Kreuk , with two other actresses having portrayed Lana Lang as a child and as an elderly woman.
Kristin Laura Kreuk (/ k r uː k /; [1] born December 30, 1982) is a Canadian actress. Debuting on teen drama Edgemont, she became most known for her roles as Lana Lang in the superhero television series Smallville (2001–2011), Catherine Chandler in The CW sci-fi series Beauty & the Beast (2012–2016) and as Joanna Hanley in the CBC legal drama series Burden of Truth (2018–2021).
Adam is first seen as a fellow patient of Lana's at the Smallville Medical Center in the episode "Asylum"; he helps Lana get through her physical therapy after she was trampled by a horse. When Lana absorbs the kryptonite in this bomb to deactivate it, she becomes so irradiated that she and Clark can never again be near each other. Clark tracks Lex down, but Lana stops him from doing something he would regret, and Lex's mobile safe-house explodes and kills him. To keep from harming Clark, Lana leaves Smallville again.
