Hitch-Hike (Italian: Autostop rosso sangue, lit. 'Blood-red hitchhiking', also known as Death Drive and The Naked Prey) is a 1977 Italian road thriller film co-written and directed by Pasquale Festa Campanile. The film stars Franco Nero and Corinne Cléry as a couple in a troubled marriage, and David Hess as a fugitive who takes them hostage.
"The Hitch-Hiker" is a short story by Roald Dahl that was originally published in July 1977 issue of the Atlantic Monthly, and later included in Dahl's short story collection The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar and Six More. [1] The story is about a man who picks up a hitch-hiker whilst driving to London.
He played several hard-edged roles as criminals and rapists in the Italian films Hitch-Hike (1977) and The House on the Edge of the Park (1980) as well as a supporting role in Craven's Swamp Thing (1982). He made his directorial debut with the slasher film To All a Goodnight (1980).

The Hitch-Hiker is a 1953 American independent [2] film noir thriller co-written and directed by Ida Lupino, and starring Edmond O'Brien, William Talman and Frank Lovejoy. Based on the 1950 killing spree of Billy Cook , the film follows two friends who are taken hostage by a murderous hitchhiker during an automobile trip to Mexico .
Cléry was born on 23 March 1950 near Paris and raised in Saint-Germain-en-Laye. [2] She began her acting career in the late 1960s under the name Corinne Piccoli. Her first important film was Joël Le Moigne's Les Poneyttes with Johnny Hallyday and DJ Hubert Wayaffe, whom she married at the end of the filming, aged 17.
