It is 6 km south-west of Limerick city centre, on the N69 road. As of the 2016 census, the village had a population of 277 people. [1] The local church, which is dedicated to Saint Oliver Plunkett, was built in 1981; and is in the parish of Mungret, Crecora and Raheen within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Limerick. [3]
The Greek Revival home was completed in 1834 on the Bayou Teche by wealthy planters David and Mary Weeks, within the town of New Iberia.
