The car was presented to the public on 16 September 1957 at the Museum of Science and Technology in Milan. The museum was officially inaugurated on 18 December 1976, [1] [3] and is located in the former Alfa Romeo Arese factory area. Production of cars ended in 2002 and engine production in 2006 in Arese factory complex.

Officine Meccaniche or OM was an Italian car and truck manufacturing company. It was founded in 1899 in Milan as Società Anonima Officine Meccaniche to manufacture railway rolling stock and car production began in 1918. [1] It disappeared as such in 1975, subsumed into Iveco, but still exists as a forklift builder.
