As always it depends on your combination. The small blocks liked 38 - 40 degrees all in by 2500. My big block (439) liked 38. My 385 runs 13:1, big block is 12:1. Best numbers are going to be ethanol % related. Around here E85 varies from 55% to 83% ethanol so you have to be concision of what you are getting.

  4. Sniper EFI vs FITECH - Team Chevelle

    www.chevelles.com/threads/sniper-efi-vs-fitech.1028482

While I think the FiTech actually looks better, and the linkage IMO is better has the larger hole to attach the throttle cable to (easier pedal effort). The biggest strike against FiTech is their customer support. Absolutely horrible to deal with. They are incompetent liars that will ignore you after awhile.

FITech Fuel Injection 30002, FiTech Go EFI 4 - 600 HP Throttle Body Systems | FITech Fuel Injection and the fuel system I used... FiTech Go EFI System Fuel Command Center | FITech Fuel Injection Fuel system claims to support up to 800HP. I know my car makes an "honest" 550hp, (has been 11.31@117 @4200# race weight, w/QFT carb).

  7. Has anything stopped working on your Fitech? | Team Chevelle

    www.chevelles.com/threads/has-anything-stopped-working-on-your-fitech.1103402

The MAP sensor is buried in epoxy with the ECU behind the front cover. There is an air temp sensor in the front driver's side bore of the throttle body, and accessible from behind the front cover. If it stopped working, you might get a fault code that would tell you what was at fault. Only spare I ever carried when using FiTech EFI is a fuel ...

  8. FiTech Distributor modification for Timing Control

    www.chevelles.com/threads/fitech-distributor-modification-for-timing-control...

I know there's a bit of confusion out there about what type of distributor can be used with FiTech Go EFI Self-Tuning Fuel Injection Systems. If you ask FiTech tech support, they'll be a little vague and mention any 12v, 2-wire, magnetic pickup, rotor phasable distributor should work. Here I'll walk through the distributor I used (MSD Street ...

  9. Fitech idle control problems - Team Chevelle

    www.chevelles.com/threads/fitech-idle-control-problems.1079660

Fitech idle control problems. A little over a year ago I was involved in the installation of a basic 400 hp fitech setup on a stock '72 c10 with a 350. A while after we got the truck running, it started idling high. I diagnosed the problem as likely being the iac motor, and fitech sent a new one. The problem went away for several months, but ...

  10. Dual or single plane intake for EFI myth busting | Team Chevelle

    www.chevelles.com/threads/dual-or-single-plane-intake-for-efi-myth-busting.1004665

The Weiand Team G 7532 single plane intake arrived last night. It's the one on the right. The Weiand is 3/16th of an inch taller, and the ports are larger than the Dart SHP dual plane. 53.75mm high on the Weiand versus 48.5mm on the Dart at the port exit according to my harbor freight measuring device.

  11. Efi fuel systems E85 compatible - The BangShift.com Forums

    bangshift.com/forum/forum/bangshift/tech-section/1247326-efi-fuel-systems-e85...

The way I understand it is E85 (which is comprised of 85% alcohol and 15% gas) has an octane rating of 108 so it can tolerate more compression. It also requires somewhere around 30% more fuel which means bigger jets/injectors (or longer duty cycle) bigger fuel lines and higher volume pump. SuperBuickGuy. No Life Outside BangShift.com.
