Starehe is an electoral constituency in Kenya. It is one of seventeen constituencies in Nairobi City County , consisting of central and central to north areas of Nairobi . The constituency was established for the 1966 elections, with an area of 20 km 2 (7.7 sq mi).
Ngara is located approximately 1.7 kilometres (1 mi) northeast of Nairobi's central business district, within the sub-county of Starehe. It is divided into two Ngara East and Ngara West by Murang'a Road. It is located south of Parklands; west of Pangani; north of Kariokor.

Starehe UK was founded in 1970 to help support Starehe Boys' Centre. In 1994–1996 it raised over £1M through the Aim High Appeal to establish an endowment fund in the UK for the Centre. It has supported Starehe Girls' Centre since its founding. 2009 was the fiftieth anniversary of the Starehe Boys' Centre. The Girls' Centre was opened in 2005.
