In the beginning of the film, the boy meets a woman boarding a train who has a drug problem. Back at the bridge, the father goes into the engine room, and tells his son to stay at the edge of the nearby lake. A ship comes, and the bridge is lifted. Though it is supposed to arrive an hour later, the train happens to arrive early.

David Ondříček came up with an idea for the film in 2007 and started to work on the screenplay [6] and started to prepare the film after he finished Dukla 61. [7] In 2015, Ondříček started to gather finances for the film and submitted application for a grant from Czech State Fund for Cinematography but was twice rejected.
The film had a record strong numbers in advance ticket sales and is set to be screened in around 280 Czech theatres by 20 August 2023 – the most in the Czech Republic so far.
