The earliest documented visitors to the area were surveyors who platted the lands under provision of the 1787 Northwest Ordinance.Most of the early work was completed during the 1830s, although some of the survey work was faulty - the surveyors reportedly doubted that the area would ever be settled.
Belleville is a city in Wayne County in the U.S. state of Michigan. A western suburb of Detroit , Belleville is located roughly 29 miles (46.7 km) southwest of downtown Detroit , and 18 miles (29.0 km) southeast of Ann Arbor , and is completely surrounded by Van Buren Township .
Gladwin had its beginnings in 1875 during the Michigan lumber boom. Situated on the Cedar River, the city was named Cedar until it was discovered that another Michigan town shared the same name. Thereafter, the city was named after the county. [8] The first church in Gladwin was a Methodist church completed on March 31, 1878.
The new building at 5510 North Belt West will be the site of a new ImmunoTek Plasma donation center. Belleville’s City Council approved the project plans in November 2022.

Gladwin Township is a civil township of Gladwin County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 1,118 at the 2020 census. [3] The city of Gladwin borders at the southwest corner of the township, but the two are administered autonomously.
As of the census [1] of 2000, there were 2,552 people, 1,029 households, and 776 families residing in the township. The population density was 75.0 inhabitants per square mile (29.0/km 2).
