Orient Beach State Park is a 363-acre (1.47 km 2) [2] [5] state park located in Southold, New York. [6] The park is situated at the tip of the North Fork of Long Island.. Long Beach, located within the park, was designated a National Natural Landmark in April 1980 [7] for its 2.5-mile (4.0 km) sand spit beach demonstrating plant succession from salt marsh to maritime red cedar forest.
Orient Bay (French: Baie-Orientale, pronounced [bɛ ɔʁjɑ̃tal]) is a coastal community and beach on the French side of the island of Saint Martin in the Caribbean. It lies on the east coast of the island. Until 1985 the area was undeveloped. The island suffered damage caused by Hurricane Luis in 1995, which was quickly repaired.
The park was created when the community deeded the bulk of the 4-mile-long (6 km) beach peninsula to the state in 1929. East Marion is a sleepy country hamlet with myriad bays and inlets, wildlife preserves and miles of rolling farmlands. Currently the community contains a series of bed and breakfasts along NY 25 between Greenport and Orient Point.

Orient Long Beach Bar Light is a lighthouse off Orient, New York.It was originally a screwpile lighthouse that was later converted to concrete caisson foundation. [1] Its early appearance as a screwpile lighthouse gave it the nickname "Bug Light" as there were no other such lighthouses in the vicinity.
