Crescent Lake is a 15,960-acre (64.6 km 2) freshwater lake located in Putnam and Flagler counties in North Central Florida. [1] The lake is approximately 13 miles (21 km) in length and 2 miles (3.2 km) wide. At the north end it connects to the St. Johns River by way of Dunns Creek. [2] Crescent Lake
The 6,000-acre property was the site of turpentining, logging, cattle ranching and farming operations within the last century. Located south of a sharp bend in the St. Johns River along Dunns Creek (which connects to Crescent Lake), the park was added to the state park system in October 2001. [1]
The ferry is privately operated by the Fort Gates Fish Camp, and is funded by Putnam County as a public transportation service; the subsidy was set at $10,000 per year in 1995. [10] Putnum County is planning on replacing the ferry landings with new structures.

Crescent Lake is a man made lake in Pensacola, Florida that was built for the Crescent Lake Subdivision that started selling homes in 1960. It is a natural spring fed lake that was created by a dam being built. The dam broke once in 1969 and was rebuilt. It broke again in 2014. In 2017 it was rebuilt.
Dixie Lake is the largest lake within Lake Louisa State Park and during high water levels flows into Big Creek. There are rental cabins on its south shore.
