Alberta Tourism, Parks and Recreation Young's Point Provincial Park is a provincial park located in northwestern Alberta , Canada . It is located on the north shore of Sturgeon Lake , 23 km west of Valleyview , a short distance from Highway 43 .
Various campgrounds are maintained on the shores of Gregg Lake, Cache Lake, Blue Lake and Jarvis Lake. This park is situated within the foothills of Alberta's Rocky Mountains, at an elevation of 1,150 m (3,770 ft) to 1,300 m (4,300 ft) and has a surface of 93 km 2 (36 sq mi).
The campground consists of 67 sites with electrical hook ups, a day use area and playground. Dunvegan Provincial Park is jointly managed by the ministries of Alberta Parks (the campground) and Alberta Culture (the historic site). Dunvegan West Wildland Provincial Park follows the south bank of the Peace River west from this provincial park.
Sheep River Provincial Park is a provincial park located in Alberta, Canada, 23 kilometres (14 mi) west of Diamond Valley on highway 546. It is part of the Kananaskis Country park system and encompasses a portion of the Sheep River valley.
The park features a campground, with 106 campsites that can fit RVs as well as a group use area. [7] There are also powered campsites. There is a store in the park ran by Alberta Parks that sells camping items as well as refreshments such as ice cream. The park also has a playground, showers, and washrooms with flush toilets. [8]
Long Lake Provincial Park is a provincial park located in Alberta, Canada. Long Lake is located one and one half hours from Edmonton along Highway 831, south of the village of Boyle and northeast of the hamlet of Newbrook, within Thorhild County. The park is situated at an elevation of 625 m (2,051 ft) and has an area of 14.3 km 2 (5.5 sq mi).
