You wouldn’t type yourself from what you wear. But if you mistype yourself, often you’ll kind of wear your correct type’s style, just in the wrong colors. I did that when I mistyped myself as a 3. And then your secondary shows itself through your style preferences once you are dressing in your type.
Just discovered Dressing Your Truth, so I wanted to look it up on this sub and see what people think. I fit into Type 1 personality-wise and facial feature-wise, and I find the simplicity and the intuitive approach of the system refreshing and interesting.

Dressing Your Truth is a primary system in my life now and I use it in everyday life for clothing, home decor, as a personal expression. It helped me clarify some things about myself and now I use them to my advantage.

Dressing your "truth" shouldn't equal wearing something you hate in hopes that it'll improve your mood. Plus, gold jewelry can get pretty expensive. Gross how some people will invent a problem in others just to sell their own bullshit "cure"

If you're not familiar with the argument for dressing "for your face", I highly recommend checking it out before continuing. The post is taken from Truth is Beauty, a blog and system developed by an analyst who uses the 5 Kibbe families (D, N, C, R, G) and little else from his work.
In addition to the traditional color analysis, there are some other fun systems too. I've found Dressing Your Truth to be a great system for putting together a really lovely and cohesive wardrobe with lots of color in it, and it also has tips for the types of prints that might work well for you!
