Blakely Auto Works (also called Bernardi Auto Works in later years) was a manufacturer of automobiles and of kit cars, working from premises located in a series of US midwest communities, including Princeton, Wisconsin, in the 1970s and 1980s. Blakely produced several kit car models, the Bantam, Bearcat, and Bernardi.
All Wisconsin's products were 4-cycle and they had power outputs from 2.4 to 65.9 horsepower (2 to 49 kW). There were single, inline two, V-two, and V-four cylinder models. The engines were designed for outdoor field service in industries including agriculture, construction, marine, oil-field equipment and railway maintenance. [ 6 ]
CSK Auto was formed after a series of acquisitions in the auto parts space. In October 1971, Lucky Stores acquired Kragen Auto Supply with its 11 stores in a stock swap. [ 6 ] Lucky also acquired Checker Auto Parts when it acquired Yellow Front Stores along with their corporate parent Valley Distributing for $45.9 million in stock in March 1978.
