*sigh* create two files by splitting at the 9 second mark with MKVMerge.Make an AVISynth script for the first '9 second file' and trim the first five seconds off, re-encode the remaining four seconds while trying to keep the same settings as the original encode, append the rest of the movie onto the new encode.
hey hello, well trying to open that 10 second mkv in FreeVideoEditor gives the message "cant open media file" . Really dont understand keyframes or smart cutting, only know it cuts at any point ive wanted sofar and audio remains synced in the output file
The intro is 1:30. What I want to do is encode the intro along with the audio and I want the output files to be the exact same length so that I can put them back together with MKV merge. And you know sometimes the intro doesn't play at the beginning of an anime. I know how to trim the video but the audio is still a mystery to me.
I would like to trim it and save a sample that start at 0:03:40 and ends at 0:05:40. I first give the ac3 the following command: %_.ac3 -220000ms the new edited ac3 starts correctly at 0:03:40. but now, what command to tell eac3to to cut this edited file from 0:02:00 to the end? edit: ok I did it by using %_.ac3 -edit=0:02:00.000,-6336228ms
In AviSynth you can add Trim(0,0) to make audio the same length as the video. Note that after encoding the lengths can still be slightly different because most often video and audio formats use different frame lengths (e.g. 25 fps video = 40ms, 48 kHz AC3 = 32ms, i.e. they only align every 160ms).
In the menu you can find "Audio">"Sound Recording">"Sound Recording ...". But I think it's lossy and only works in real-time.
I have some AC3 (5.1) files that I just need to trim ~1.4 sec from the beginning of. I have tried several different programs so far, and none of them seem to do this (Audacity works, but wants to downmix it to 2-channel). Also tried DelayCut, but that didn't work either. (Also tried AC3 Delay Corrector - didn't work). Thanks for any assistance!
All video and audio formats will be listed with their special Stream IDs (changes on each site) 2- Write down the Stream IDs for audio/video files to be downloaded: yt-dlp -f streamID --allow-unplayable-formats mpdlink 3- After all downloads and decryptions, merge the video and audio files with MKVToolnix. If you also want subtitles (if available):
Audio Format : AC-3 Format/Info : Audio Coding 3 Codec ID : A_AC3 Duration : 3h 15mn Bit rate mode : Constant Bit rate : 448 Kbps Channel(s) : 6 channels Sampling rate : 48.0 KHz I'm trying to find a way to cut this video using trim and selectRange while having video and audio in sync.
