The following table shows the 24 consonant phonemes found in most dialects of English, plus /x/, whose distribution is more limited. Fortis consonants are always voiceless, aspirated in syllable onset (except in clusters beginning with /s/ or /ʃ/), and sometimes also glottalized to an extent in syllable coda (most likely to occur with /t/, see T-glottalization), while lenis consonants are ...
In the Sephardic tradition, however, the practice is different altogether, and they will also alter the phonetic sound of the short vowel qamaṣ qattön whenever the vowel appears alongside a meteg (a small vertical line), reading it as the long vowel qamaṣ gadöl, giving to it the sound of "a", as in car, instead of "ōōōōō."
There are eight short reading passages here. At the end of the book, the numbers are given one by one from 1 to 10, by tens from 10 to 100, and by hundreds from 100 to 1000. It is stated on the back cover of the book that the price is 40 para and that a more comprehensive textbook will be published with the proceeds from the sale.
