The service courts are marked by a centre line dividing the width of the court, by a short service line at a distance of 1.98 metres (6 feet 6 inches) from the net, and by the outer side and back boundaries. In doubles, the service court is also marked by a long service line, which is 0.76 metres (2 feet 6 inches) from the back boundary.

Badminton England is the national governing body for the sport of badminton in England.It aims to govern, encourage and develop the sport throughout England. Originally established in 1893 as the Badminton Association of England in Portsmouth, [citation needed] the association is now based in Milton Keynes and has departments for Elite Play, Events, Membership, Development and Coaching.
The park includes tennis courts, a soccer field, basketball courts, badminton courts, gateball court (croquet lawn), in-line skate park, a performance stage, concession stand, and an X-game court, where skaters can practice stunts. There are also quite a few statues and fountains.
The original scoring system in badminton dates back to as early as 1873. [1] A match or rubber is decided by the best of three games. Each game is played to 15 points in the case of men's singles and any doubles games. In the case of ladies' singles, a game is played to 11 points.
Ball badminton is a team sport. The ball is served (hit from the right or left court of one side to the diagonally opposite court of the other side). The server begins on the right court and moves to the left court each time a point is scored.
