Field of Flowers is an event venue on a 27-acre farm in New Waverly, Texas. The original home was built in 1887 and was moved from Willis, Texas. In 2001, the owners made vast improvements, presenting a 4,000-square-foot East Texas schoolhouse-style home decorated in French Victorian elegance.
The flowers of the Field Pansy attract wildlife, and they are an early source of nectar for bees. In addition, caterpillars of fritillary butterflies feed on the leaves, and the seeds are eaten by Bobwhite, Wild Turkey, Mourning Dove, and some songbirds.
In 2022, the flower fields were kind of mediocre, but 2023 made up for it with some of the most amazing Texas bluebonnets that I have ever seen! No matter where you choose to explore in the state, have fun, be safe, and soak up the beautiful views!
