The California Highway Patrol has identified the three people killed in a wrong-way, triple-vehicle crash on Sunday night on Highway 46. The three were all from towns in the greater Fresno area.
The two men in the off-road vehicle were headed south on Westlawn Avenue about 1 a.m. as they approached the intersection at Belmont Avenue, the CHP said in a news release.

The Fresno County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 33-year-old Paul Sanchez of Fresno. Sanchez died at Community Regional Medical Center the day after the collision.
