Suncadia is an unincorporated community and resort in Kittitas County, Washington, covering an area of 6,300 acres (25.5 km 2). It is located approximately 80 miles (130 km) east of Seattle in the Cascade Mountains between Roslyn , Cle Elum , and the Mountains to Sound Greenway section of Interstate 90 .
In 1890, Howard Dickover purchased the entire area and put a resort hotel on the lake, naming it ‘Edgewater Beach’. In 1910, the Valparaiso and Northern Railway passed around Flint Lake and an Edgewater station was constructed. Today, the only remaining evidence of the resort is the ‘resident association beach’.
