The house consists of the main block; a one-story, L-shaped wing; a one-story servants' quarters; and a one-story kitchen wing behind the main block.
Gov. David S. Reid House is a historic house located at Reidsville, Rockingham County, North Carolina. [2] It was built about 1881, and is a two-story, T-shaped, Late Victorian style frame dwelling. It sits on a brick foundation and has a gable roof and original one-story, rear shed projection and one-story rear kitchen wing.

Reidsville was established in the early 19th century as an outpost and stop on the stage line that ran between Salisbury, North Carolina, and Danville, Virginia, and was originally known as Wright's Crossroads.
