The Hoppers are a family ensemble which first began performing together in 1957. They appeared at the inauguration ceremony for Ronald Reagan in 1981. They won awards for Mixed Vocal Group from the Southern Gospel Music Association in 1982 and 1983.
Kirk Lewis Talley (born June 9, 1958), is an American Southern gospel performer and songwriter.Talley is best known for his time as a tenor singer with the legendary Gospel Quartet the Cathedrals, the Talleys, and also the family group the Hoppers, along with a very successful solo career as a singer and songwriter.
The group has received numerous accolades from the GMA Dove Awards, Singing News Fan Awards, the Southern Gospel Music Guild Harmony Honors, the BMI Awards and SGN Music Awards. [2] On June 25, 2011, the Talley Trio changed its name back to the Talleys. On November 20, 2019, The Talleys announced that 2020 would be their final year of touring.

The Cathedral Quartet, also known as the Cathedrals, was an American southern gospel quartet who performed from 1964 to December 1999. [3] The group's final lineup consisted of Glen Payne (lead), George Younce (bass), Ernie Haase (tenor), Scott Fowler (baritone and bass guitar), and Roger Bennett (piano and rhythm guitar).
On February 19, 1992, the Gaither Vocal Band had just wrapped up a recording session in a Nashville, Tennessee, working on an album called Homecoming, which featured many of the great voices of southern gospel music: The Speers, The Gatlins, Jake Hess, The Cathedrals, Howard & Vestal Goodman, Buck Rambo, Eva Mae Lefevre, James Blackwood, Hovie Lister, Jim Hill, and J.D. Sumner & The Stamps.
Hoppers is written and directed by Daniel Chong, the creator of popular kids’ show We Bare Bears. Chong has also worked on Disney’s Bolt (2008) and Pixar’s Cars 2 (2011) and Inside Out (2015).
The label was started in 1965, by Marvin Norcross, for the label's Southern gospel quartets. Their biggest artist to date is the Happy Goodman Family.After being absent from the southern gospel music industry for several years, Word Entertainment revived the Canaan Records label in 2007, placing Dave Clark as the General Manager of the label and announcing Canaan's relaunch on June 6, 2007.
