On July 12–13, 2024, the 15th 80/35 Music Festival will be held in Water Works Park utilizing the Lauridsen Amphitheater according to Sam Carrell who is the executive director of the Water Works Park Foundation. Previously, Eighty Thirty-Five Music Festival was held from 2009 until 2023 at the Western Gateway Park in downtown Des Moines.
The Des Moines Water Works (DMWW) is a publicly owned, municipal water utility with its headquarters in Water Works Park. It was founded 1871 southwest of downtown Des Moines, Iowa, along the Raccoon River and provides water to half a million residents of the greater Des Moines metropolitan area.
