[1] The island was later called Anthedonia and Hypereia, but eventually received the name Calauria after Calaurus, who was also a son of Poseidon.
Her father, Ares, came to her aid, and killed Halirrhothius. The trial had place on Areopagus, a hill adjacent to the Acropolis of Athens who taken its name by this event. [2] [3]
