Aug 18, 2009. #6. BR-20T. Space. Wife. There's been at least 3 of the MTR-10's come up on eBay close by in the last twelve months. Usually they have gone for less than $250. I have been sorely tempted however, being as large as they are, I have never figured out how to make them invisible to the wife upon arrival.

  4. Rate My Lyrics - HomeRecording.com

Singing to my dresser who doesn’t respond. Sights and sounds pass through my head. And still I must go on. So pack up your suitcase fill your pockets with change. Don’t come back here till you think I’ve changed. I’m not changing who I am, just to play along. And although I do wish that you’d hold me sometimes.

  5. Minimum vocal booth dimensions | HomeRecording.com

This will have to fit under a standard 8ft ceiling. It will serve as a booth for vocals, acoustic guitar (not simultaneously), and guitar amp, with the main focus being on vocals. I know bigger is better, but what are the minimum dimensions I can get away with, or is this a silly question, the answer being 'as big as you can go'.

  6. Zoom H4N uneven mic levels? - HomeRecording.com

    homerecording.com/bbs/threads/zoom-h4n-uneven-mic-levels.376846

Jan 13, 2015. #1. Hi, I've just bought a Zoom H4N and am pretty happy with it so far. However, something I've noticed when in stereo recording mode is that the right mic level seems to be a tiny bit higher than the left one, at least if I just hold the unit and watch the levels move with background noise. I was wondering if this is normal or if ...

That's why you buffer the data. When the computer polls the system, the interface will dump the data down. If your buffer size is 256 and your sampling rate is 44,100 times per second (Hz means cycles per second) then your latency will be (256/44,100) seconds which is 0.0058 seconds or 5.8ms.

  8. Anyone own a FOSTEX G16 - homerecording.com

    homerecording.com/bbs/threads/anyone-own-a-fostex-g16.271862

Soudwise although slightly noisier than Tascams with DBX the G16 has a more natural sweeter sound that does not alter the music as much. Sort of like the differenc between listening to a tape and listerning to a live band. Although if the ultimate in SN is your desire the Tascams with DBX are quieter.

  9. DigiTech RP1000 - HomeRecording.com

    homerecording.com/bbs/threads/digitech-rp1000.344246

I walk the line. Jun 29, 2012. #4. The RP1000 is going for $400, the RP500 for $300. There's even a new one that works off of an iPad, but I'm not interested in that. The thing that attracts me to the 1000 vs. the 500 is that the 1000 has a 20 second looper. Mostly I want to know how good the sims are, and how involved is it to create and save ...

  10. Can bass traps be free standing? | HomeRecording.com

    homerecording.com/bbs/threads/can-bass-traps-be-free-standing.402822

The only corner where I could get away with a full 24" bass trap is the upper left, behind the arm chair. The bedroom doors make the back corners problematic. This is just going to be a for-fun home studio, but whatever I can do to make worthwhile improvements in the sound utilizing DIY treatments, I would consider.

  11. is dbfs the same as rms? - HomeRecording.com

Just Your Average Sized Member. No. DBFS is dB Full Scale which referes to digital full scale readings. Zero is the top of the scale and it can not be exceeded. RMS is Root Mean Squared and referes to the average level, not the peaks which can be much more than the average level. The -18 dB is the dBFS reading of the VU equivelant.
