Malinda Channa Pieris Seneviratne (born September 23, 1965 [1]) is a Sri Lankan poet, critic, journalist, translator, political commentator, and activist. Known for his outspoken political views, his opinion pieces are among the most widely read in English in Sri Lanka. [2]
Dr Amarasekara was presented with the Nalanda Keerthi Sri award in 2010 by his alma mater Nalanda College, Colombo. [7] [8] [9] Amarasekera is a graduate of University of Ceylon and is a Dental Surgeon by profession.
