The Nissan J series are straight-4 and straight-6 gasoline internal combustion engines produced by Nissan from the 1960s through the 1980s. It is similar to the BMC B-Series engine that was built in Japan under licence as the Nissan 1H before being de-stroked to become the 1.0 L Nissan C [1] [2] and 1.2 L Nissan E engines, [3] but wasn't a direct copy.
The engine technology is used by Nissan to reduce fuel consumption and emission output while improving overall engine performance. e-POWER for its line of series hybrid vehicles using an electric traction motor derived from the one used in the Nissan Leaf, which draws power from a battery and generator driven by a gasoline engine.

The ten-cylinder 10DC engines share the dimensions of the 8DC series and were first seen in 1974, in the heavy-duty F-series trucks. 10DC6 – 18,608 cc, 375 PS (276 kW) at 2500 rpm. 10DC8 – 18,608 cc, 375–380 PS (276–279 kW), direct injection, torque is 130 kg⋅m (1,275 N⋅m; 940 lb⋅ft) for the 375PS version, Mitsubishi Fuso F-series .
In May 1997, Suzuki introduced the 1995 cc J20 2.0-litre 16-valve DOHC engine with both soft top and hardtop three-door models. This engine was rated at 97 kW (130 hp) at 6300 rpm.
