El Súper Clásico (English: The Super Classic), also known as El Clásico (The Classic), El Clásico de Clásicos (The Classic of Classics), and El Clásico Nacional (The National Classic), is an association football match between Mexican clubs Club América and Guadalajara.
In 2016 and 2017 America was the country's most supported team, and in 2018 fell to second behind Guadalajara. In 2019 América regained the top spot with 32 percent, doubling the amount of Guadalajara supporters for the first time. America was originally set to participate in the 2006 InterLiga tournament, but their 2005 clausura championship qualified the team for the 2006 CONCACAF Champions' Cup. Therefore, the club was replaced by Cruz Azul.
Qualification to this year's InterLiga remains the same. The qualified teams were the eight best-positioned teams in the 2009 Apertura general table who did not qualify for the 2010 Copa Libertadores directly (Morelia, San Luis, and Guadalajara) and did not qualify for the 2009–10 CONCACAF Champions League from the previous season (Toluca, Cruz Azul, Pachuca, and UNAM).
