Butler County is a county in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.As of the 2020 census, the population was 193,763. [2] Its county seat is Butler. [3] Butler County was created on March 12, 1800, from part of Allegheny County and named in honor of General Richard Butler, a hero of the American Revolution.
Interstate 79 runs north–south through the township, with access from Exit 105 (Pennsylvania Route 108) in the north and Exit 99 (U.S. Route 422) just south of the township border. Clay Township is located in north-central Butler County and contains the unincorporated communities of Claytonia, Sherwin, Euclid, Muddy Creek, and Queen Junction. It surrounds the borough of West Sunbury but is a separate entity.
Brady Township is located northwest of the center of Butler County. It is bordered by Slippery Rock Township to the north, Cherry Township at the northeast corner, Clay Township to the east, Franklin Township to the south, Worth Township to the west, and the borough of West Liberty to the north and west.
The township includes the unincorporated communities of Butler Junction, Silverville, Sarverville, Sarver, Ekastown, and Lernerville. Pennsylvania Route 28, a limited-access highway, passes through the southeastern part of the township, with access from Exit 17 (Pennsylvania Route 356, or Butler Road).
