U.S. Route 202 (US 202) is a U.S. Highway running from New Castle, Delaware northeast to Bangor, Maine.In the U.S. state of New Jersey, the route runs 80.31 mi (129.25 km) from the New Hope–Lambertville Toll Bridge over the Delaware River at the Pennsylvania border in Delaware Township, Hunterdon County, near Lambertville northeast to the New York border in Mahwah, Bergen County.
While most of US 202 is signed north–south, the portion within New York is signed east–west. It drifts north slowly as it crosses southern New York. US 202 is the only road to cross New York between New Jersey and Connecticut and not pass through New York City on the way. US 202's New York stretch is roughly bisected by the Hudson River.
Towaco is a station on NJ Transit's Montclair-Boonton Line located between U.S. Route 202 and Whitehall Road in the eponymous neighborhood of Montville Township, Morris County, New Jersey. The station opened as Whitehall in 1870 along the Boonton Branch of the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad , and assumed its current name in 1905.
