The Vietnam national football team (Vietnamese: Đội tuyển bóng đá quốc gia Việt Nam) represents Vietnam in men's senior international association football and is controlled by the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), the governing body of football in Vietnam.

The V.League 1 (Vietnamese: Giải bóng đá Vô địch Quốc gia Việt Nam, lit. 'National Football Championship'), also called LPBank V.League 1 for sponsorship reasons, is the top professional football league in Vietnam, controlled by the Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF).
The men's football tournament at the 2018 Asian Games was held from 10 August to 1 September 2018. [1] [2] It was the 17th edition of the men's tournament.
