Badiangan, officially the Municipality of Badiangan (Kinaray-a: Banwa kang Badiangan, Hiligaynon: Banwa sang Badiangan, Tagalog: Bayan ng Badiangan), is a municipality in the province of Iloilo, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 27,056 people.
The population of Iloilo in the 2020 census was 2,051,899 people, [22] with a density of 410 inhabitants per square kilometre or 1,100 inhabitants per square mile. If the highly urbanized city of Iloilo is included for statistical purposes, the province's total population is 2,509,525 people, with a density of 494/km 2 (1,280/sq mi).
The legislative districts of Iloilo are the representations of the province of Iloilo in the various national legislatures of the Philippines.The province is currently represented in the lower house of the Congress of the Philippines through its first, second, third, fourth and fifth congressional districts.
Ajuy was founders in the early 1200s by the native people of Panay besides the Gubaton River in Lanjagan. It was formerly called "Aswe".
