The Barns at Nappanee, Home of Amish Acres, formerly known solely as Amish Acres, is a tourist attraction in Nappanee, Indiana, created from an eighty-acre (thirty-two-hectare) Old Order Amish farm. The farm was purchased in October 1968 at auction from the Manasses Kuhns’ estate. The farm was homesteaded by Moses Stahly in 1873.
Loch Lloyd derives its name from the original real estate developer Harry J. Lloyd, who died in 1997. In 2002, the development at Loch Lloyd and The Country Club at Loch Lloyd were acquired by FiveStar Lifestyles. This company has built over 200 homes at an average price of $850,000.
The school was named after the nearby Staley Farms and the road of the same name. The school opened in the 2008–09 school year with an enrollment of nearly 1,000 students from Oak Park High School.
