SUNY Poly is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III and the Empire 8 Conference. The current roster of SUNY Poly varsity sports includes baseball, softball, and men's and women's basketball, cross country, lacrosse, soccer, volleyball, and golf. SUNY Poly's athletic nickname is the Wildcats.

1991 – The State University of New York at Utica/Rome (now the State University of New York Polytechnic Institute (SUNY Poly)) joined the SUNYAC, effective in the 1991–92 academic year. 1995 – SUNY Albany left the SUNYAC to join the NCAA Division II ranks as an NCAA D-II Independent, effective after the 1994–95 academic year.
Most Regents exams consist of a single three-hour testing period. The exception is the Earth Science exam, which consists of a 41-minute (approximate) laboratory component, known as the Earth Science lab practical, given around two weeks prior to the three-hour exam. The Regents exams are administered in January, June, and August.
The Rensselaer Polytechnic is the student-run news organization of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.Prior to 2018, it was published in print every Wednesday during the Institute's fall and spring academic calendars (except during holiday and examination periods), but now publishes online at poly.rpi.edu, following the same schedule.
SUNY Brockport was originally founded in 1835 as an institution of higher learning as the Brockport Collegiate Institute.. Over thirty years later, the school, through the leadership of principal Malcolm MacVicar, was absorbed into a New York-wide system of state-run normal schools in 1867 and changed its name to the Brockport State Normal School.
It is located on the campus of the SUNY Polytechnic Institute Colleges of Nanoscale Science and Engineering in Albany, New York, United States. The school opened in September 2007 with a first class of 40 students. Its first class graduated in June 2011 on the campus of the University at Albany.
