On 10 June 2020, NAT Group announced that it would continue the Severn Express route working in partnership with Monmouthshire County Council and TrawsCymru. [31] The route was operated on a 6 month trial basis until 31 December 2020. [32] Newport Bus took over the route on 4 January 2021 and route was renumbered from X7 to T7.
