Darren James Mew (born 23 May 1975), better known as Darren Styles, is an English music producer, DJ, singer and songwriter from Clacton-On-Sea, Essex. Originally a member of the breakbeat hardcore group DJ Force & the Evolution, Styles found success during the 1990s as one half of Force & Styles .

Styles' previous album Skydivin' (2008) was his début album as a solo artist and sold well achieving a Gold certification. Recording for Feel the Pressure followed on from the release of the first album and Styles' main collaborator was Re-Con who co-wrote and produced six songs on the album.

After working together since 1993 as part of DJ Force & the Evolution (with James Broomfield and Paul Hughes), Paul Hobbs and Darren Mew formed Force & Styles in 1995. They founded their own independent record label UK Dance Records to release their recordings and the duo released numerous 12-inch singles during the mid-1990s.
