The 2024 World Figure Skating Championships were held from March 18–24, 2024, at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada. [1] Montreal had originally been scheduled to host the 2020 World Championships , but they were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic .
The 2024–25 figure skating season began on July 1, 2024, and will end on June 30, 2025. During this season, elite skaters will compete at the ISU Championship level at the 2025 European Championships, Four Continents Championships, World Junior Championships, and the World Championships.

During this season, elite skaters competed at the ISU (International Skating Union) Championship level at the 2024 European Championships, Four Continents Championships, World Junior Championships, World Championships, and the Winter Youth Olympics.
The 2025 U.S. Figure Skating Championships were held January 20–26, 2025, at the Intrust Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas. [1] Medals were awarded in men's singles, women's singles , pair skating , and ice dance at the senior, junior, and novice levels.
The ISU World Standings for single & pair skating and ice dance, are taking into account results of the preceding two seasons and the current season, and remains the basis for the draws at ISU events and part of the criteria for the selection of competitors for the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating and other ISU events designated by the ISU Council.
