In Windows 10 the control is integrated right into the icon's fly-out - look for an "arrow shape" (chevron) at the top to the side of the audio source listed and you should get a menu which allows you to choose a different output source.

But, the HDD has been faster and I don't experience lag spikes much longer. The only thing is that the computer may randomly just be slow.
