Beds and furniture are covered with drop cloths and we scatter dryer sheets around the camp and under the drop cloths. I sealed up all the pipes under the house and we haven't had any mice problems since. Way back we used moth balls which was the old school thing to do but the smell was horrible.

Annoying, but NH could pass a law requiring a large sticker be placed on fertilizers sold in NH--warning that employment near lakeshores is environmentally unsafe. 3) While they are at it, require a large-font printing of relevant and unique NH laws be placed on the back of all PFDs (life preservers) sold in NH. It could catch on with other states.

The wider angle fluke just didn't work well for me and no one at the marine stores seemed to understand what I was talking about - they ALL carried the 45 degree angle Fluke. Anyway, I bought an 8 pound 32 degree Fluke style kit (came with chain, and line) from West Marine and have been very happy with the anchors (I now have 2).

Here's another brochure from the same era when the Inn was managed by Mrs. C. G. Franics. Much of the text is the same and images are predominantly postcards of Alton Bay posted elsewhere on this site, so I'll only post a few highlights.

To me, 100K miles isn't that old, as many cars go easily beyond 200K miles. As for Subaru failures, sure, they have had some problems over the years, as have most kinds. Most notable for us was the "oil consumption" issue Subaru and others had in model years around 2011-15.

In past seasons, I have used the boat ramp near Libby's Museum to launch a 21' Boston Whaler. I would like to find a launch a bit closer to our cabin. Some potential options include Center Harbor ramp, public ramp near Harilla's, or the ramp near the beach on Long Island.
