2007: Dr Gillian Holdsworth walked across Nepal with guide, Sonam Sherpa, to raise money for the Britain Nepal Medical Trust. [ 4 ] 2008–09: Nepal's Great Himalaya Trail route was first walked over two seasons by a team led by Robin Boustead, who did five years of research treks before walking the route.
Department of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation (Nepal) Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park is the ninth national park in Nepal and was established in 2002. It is located in the country's mid-hills on the northern fringe of the Kathmandu Valley and named after Shivapuri Peak at 2,732 m (8,963 ft) altitude.
The Annapurna Circuit is a trek within the mountain ranges of central Nepal. The total length of the route varies between 160–230 km (100-145 mi), depending on where motor transportation is used and where the trek is ended. This trek crosses two different river valleys and encircles the Annapurna Massif.

Nepal contains most of the Himalayas, the highest mountain range in the world. Eight of the fourteen eight-thousanders are located in the country, either in whole or shared across a border with China or India. Nepal has the highest mountain in the world, Mount Everest at an astonishing height of 8,848.86m as well as 1,310 peaks over 6,000 m height.
Mardi Himal (Nepali: मर्दी हिमाल) is a 5,587-metre (18,330 ft) peak beneath the much more prominent Machapuchare in the Annapurna region of Nepal, from which it is separated by a 5,200 metres (17,060 ft) col. It was first summited in 1961 by Basil Goodfellow.
The scenery of the place makes it a popular hiking route for tourists. [4] It is located approximately 7000 ft (2000 m) above sea level and 28 km from Kathmandu International Airport. Nagarkot commands one of the broadest views of the Himalayas in the Kathmandu valley (8 Himalayan ranges of Nepal out of 13 from here).
Sandakphu or Sandakpur at 3,636 m (11,929 ft) [1] is a mountain peak in the Singalila Ridge on the border between India and Nepal. It is the highest point of the ridge and of the state of West Bengal, India. The peak is located at the edge of the Singalila National Park and has a small village on the summit with a few hotels.
