The Lynbrook Union Free School District is a public school district serving portions of the southwestern part of the Town of Hempstead.The school district includes most of the Village of Lynbrook and parts of the unincorporated areas of Lynbrook as well as portions of East Rockaway, Hewlett, Hewlett Harbor, and Valley Stream.
Like most other American high schools, Lynbrook is a four-year high school that consists of freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior classes. As of the 2023-2024 school year, Lynbrook High School had a total of 1,724 students, with 435 students belonging to the senior class of 2024. [22] 84% of students are Asian and 7% are White. [22]
The first school in what is now the Lynbrook School District, then Pearsall's Corner, was built most probably in 1855 (a picture of the first school house is dated c. 1865) and expanded in 1874. The Union Free School District was established in 1892 and construction was begun near the site now occupied by the Administrative Offices.

East Rockaway is a village in Nassau County, on the South Shore of Long Island, in New York, United States.The population was 9,818 at the 2010 census.
