"Dragostea din tei" [A] (pronounced [ˈdraɡoste̯a din ˈtej] ⓘ; Romanian: "Love From the Linden Tree" [15]) is a song recorded by Moldovan group O-Zone, released around July 2003 in Romania by Media Services as the lead single from their third studio album DiscO-Zone (2003).
DiscO-Zone is the third and final album by the Moldovan band O-Zone.It was first released on August 13, 2003, in multiple countries throughout Europe. [1] Produced by the band, the album features their hit singles "Dragostea Din Tei (Words of Love)" and "Despre Tine (About You)".
In 2024, it was announced that O-Zone are going to do a summer tour, but this time as a tribute band, consisting of Arsenie as only singer and two dancers. Worldwide, O-Zone have sold over 12 million copies of "Dragostea din tei" and over 2.5 million copies of its parent album DisO-Zone. [3]
"Despre tine" (English: "About You") is the second single release from O-Zone's second album Number 1, and came back in their last album, DiscO-Zone. Following up their 2003 summer hit "Dragostea Din Tei", "Despre tine" proved to be a smaller hit than its predecessor, but a big enough one to make number one in several European countries.
