Many articles on vcards, including this one, are incomprehensible because of terminology. The various versions of vcard rfc's certainly don't help with this. Early versions of rfc's speak of "contentlines", "properties", "parametes" and "values". Latter versions, rfc 6350, seem to redefine these terms.
