Charleston Lake is located in South Eastern Ontario, just north east of Gananoque. Loughborough Lake is a lake in Eastern Ontario, Canada. [1] [2] The lake is mostly in the municipality of South Frontenac, Frontenac County, except for the southern tip which is in and on the northern border of the separated city of Kingston, [4] [5] and is about 20 kilometres (12 mi) north of the town centre of Kingston.
The south half of the lake is much deeper, with a maximum depth of 175' located right off of Loch Island Lodge. This set up is ideal for large game fish such as walleye and northern pike. The shoreline on the south end is much higher, with exposed Pre-Cambrian shield plummeting straight into the tea-stained water.
