In 2006, OPDs were started which gradually shifted to 140 Bedded IPD & Presently GMC & SFH is running with 550 Beds IPDs, well created emergency & Private wards. The Hospital has well trained Health Care workers including Clinicians, Nursing Staff & Paramedical Staff. The Academic activities started in August 2013 with first Batch of MBBS students.
The GMC, Aurangabad accepts 200 students every year for MBBS course. The admission is based on merit in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. [5] The college has 120 BPMT student intake. The BPMT course is for the posts of lab technician, radiology technician, radiotherapy technician, community and medicine technician etc.
Main courses offered include MBBS, post-graduate training in basic specialties (M.D., MS and diploma courses) and super-specialties (DM and MCh), BDS, BSc Nursing and other paramedical courses. Every year, 175 students get admitted for MBBS course through central government's NEET UG Examination.

Every year a batch of 150 students (now 200) is enrolled for MBBS degree course. Each medical student is uniquely identified with the year and a roll number in the batch. For example, "SVNGMC-2005-99" indicates a student belonging to the 2005 batch with a roll number of 99.
The medical college building has all essential departments for 100 MBBS seats as per MCI guidelines including Preclinical, Para Clinical and Clinical Departments comprising demonstration rooms, museum, student laboratories and departmental library along with air conditioned central library and lecture theaters.
