Thornton Academy (often abbreviated as TA) is a co-educational, independent boarding and day school serving grades 9–12 located in Saco, Maine.Thornton Academy also opened a full-time, private junior high school on its campus, named Thornton Academy Middle School, which serves grades 6-8 for Saco, Dayton and Arundel students.
The Old Saco High School stands on the northwest side of Spring Street, on a parcel that extends between Dyer and Bradley Streets, north of Saco's central business district. It is a 2-1/2 story brick structure, basically rectangular in shape, with a side-facing slate gabled roof that has brackets and dentil moulding at the eave.

Sacopee Valley High School, founded 1967, is the public school for Maine School Administration District 55 (MSAD 55). It is located in Hiram, in the U.S. state of Maine. It was built to replace Porter High School, which is now the Porter Town Hall. The school covers the towns of Hiram, Porter, Parsonsfield, Cornish, and Baldwin.
