Nils Norberg left the band the following year for personal reasons. He was replaced by Christoffer Rörland. Mannberg and Erikson are also members of the thrash metal band Guillotine, and Rörland has joined Sabaton as of 2012. On 29 September 2017 Nocturnal Rites released their first new album in 10 years titled Phoenix.
Nils Norberg is a heavy metal guitarist from Umeå in northern Sweden. He played in the band Nocturnal Rites from 1996-2008. [1] His playing can be heard on the albums Tales of Mystery and Imagination, The Sacred Talisman, Afterlife, Shadowland, New World Messiah, Grand Illusion, and The 8th Sin.
Rörland started at the age of seven to play the guitar. He names Adrian Smith, John Petrucci, Steve Vai and Yngwie Malmsteen as his major influences. In 2010, Rörland became guitarist of the power metal band Nocturnal Rites. [1] In 2012, he and Thorbjörn Englund replaced Sabaton's former guitarists, Rikard Sundén and Oskar Montelius.
