Third Creek Township is an inactive township in Gasconade County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. [ 1 ] Third Creek Township was established in 1841, and named after Third Creek .
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 931 square miles (2,410 km 2), of which 923 square miles (2,390 km 2) is land and 8.0 square miles (21 km 2) (0.9%) is water. [5] It is the fourth-largest county in Missouri by land area and third-largest by total area.
Gallatin is located at the intersection of Missouri routes 6 and 13.The Grand River flows past about one mile east of the city. [14]According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.77 square miles (7.17 km 2), of which 2.75 square miles (7.12 km 2) is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 km 2) is water.
Waynesville is located on Roubidoux Creek, approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) south of the Gasconade River. The northern boundary of Fort Leonard Wood is about 2 miles (3.2 km) to the south. [9] The Roubidoux Spring, 15th largest in the state, is located in the city limits. The Roubidoux Spring was also a stop on the infamous Trail of Tears.
