The Central Waterfront is a neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. It is the most urbanized portion of the Elliott Bay shore. It runs from the Pioneer Square shore roughly northwest past Downtown Seattle and Belltown, ending at the Broad Street site of the Olympic Sculpture Park. A statue of Christopher Columbus was installed in Seattle, in the U.S. state of Washington. Initially refused by the Seattle Arts Commission, the bronze sculpture was installed at Waterfront Park in 1978. [1] [2] Following much vandalism, the statue was removed and placed into storage in 2012. [3]
