The Lost World of Tambun (LWOT) is a theme park and hotel in Sunway City, Tambun, Ipoh, Kinta District, Perak, Malaysia. [1] Managed by the Sunway Group, the 40 acres (16 ha) park opened on 11 November 2004, [2] and is officiated by Sultan Azlan Shah.
Tambun Inn: Located in Ipoh, it is one of the top tourist destinations in Malaysia, and is reported to be haunted by many ghostly apparitions. Some of these accounts mention lights turning on and off, sounds of whispers and eerie cries, as well as a report of the ghost of an old woman spotted within the vicinity of the inn.
The cave which now became the temple gateway was founded by a monk from China in 1890 who walked through the area from Ipoh. [1] The monk then decided to make the cave his home and a place for meditation where he remained until the end of his life. This was then continued by other monks and nuns.
