William Richardson Davie (June 20, 1756 – November 29, 1820) was an American statesman, politician, military general, Founding Father of the United States [1] who served as the 10th Governor of North Carolina from 1798 to 1799.
His eldest son and heir Roger II Tuckfield (1635–1686/7) of Raddon married Margaret (daughter of William Davie of Dira, Sandford, second son of Sir John Davie of Creedy 1st Bart.) by whom he had three children: John Tuckfield (1681–1681). Roger III Tuckfield (1683/4–1739) of Raddon, MP for Ashburton, who died unmarried and without progeny.

Emily Tennessee Donelson (June 1, 1807 – December 19, 1836) was the acting first lady of the United States from 1829 to 1834 during the presidency of her uncle Andrew Jackson. She was the daughter of the brother of Jackson's wife. Jackson's wife, Rachel Donelson Jackson, died weeks before her husband's presidential inauguration.

Rev. William Lawson a long-time civil rights advocate and founder of Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church in Houston, has died, according to an obituary posted on the church’s website. He was 95.
